FAQ:
Question : What Length of pole do I need?
Answer   : When deciding on the correct length for your curtain pole, it is important to allow enough additional space for your curtains to stack back at the side of the window. You will see on our measuring guide we recommend a minimum of 15cm for each side of the window. If you have very full lined curtains, you might want to allow 30cm for each side. If you are really not sure then you can hang your curtains on the pole without cutting it down and try sliding the curtains along the pole to show what it would look like at different lengths. When you are happy, mark the position where you would like the pole to end on the wall and then measure the distance from this point to the window recess. If for instance this measures 15cm then you would need to add the length of the window recess plus 30cm to allow for 15cm for each side of the window. For help on taking these measurements please refer to our measuring guide which can be found on the home page.

Question : What diameter pole should I choose?
Answer   : Much of this decision is down to personal choice, however there are a few basic points. If for example you are wanting to hang some very light weight or sheet curtains we would suggest selecting something from our slim diameter category, or using a double pole to create a layered effect. The only other consideration is the weight of the curtains. For heavy weight curtains (11kg and above) most 28mm poles will be suitable, however please refer to the weight recommendation we give for each individual product. The rest is really up to you. The trend for larger diameter poles is increasing, and if you want a really opulent look then go for a 50mm pole or larger. you don't need a huge window, its surprising how good this can look even in the most modest room.

Question : I am looking for a wooden curtain pole for a window in my Country Cottage but I don’t know where to look. Can you help?
Answer   : Here at Poles2u.com we have categorized our range of curtain poles into four key design styles to help you to refine your search. Not only have all the curtain poles been categorized but also bay curtain poles, curtain tracks, curtain rods and all the required accessories such as curtain rings and curtain hooks.

Question : I am looking for a bay window curtain pole, have looked for a standard curtain pole but cannot find what I am looking for.Can you help?
Answer   : Bay poles can seem complicated at first but here at Poles2u.com we have tried to make this purchase easy.  All our curtain poles state whether they can be used on a bay window.  You can also refine your search by ‘functionality’ criteria, so if you click on ‘bay pole set’ or ‘made to measure bay’ your search will automatically be refined to curtain poles or curtain tracks suitable for bay windows only.
